Recognize the Rainbow: LGBTQIA+ Awareness

Increasing awareness and inclusion of individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community is essential for strengthening health and wellbeing, and ultimately results, in our workplaces. LGBTQIA stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (or questioning), intersex, and asexual. The “+” is a symbol that represents members of the community who identify with a sexual orientation or gender identity that isn’t included within the LGBTQIA acronym. This playlist includes more insights on each of these terms as well as guidance to support LGBTQIA+ inclusivity at work.

Gain a better understanding of the differences between sexual orientation and gender identity, and how to use pronouns that reflect and respect each person’s identity. Learn how to support a colleague who is coming out or transitioning, and the kinds of workplace policies, including gender-neutral restrooms, that increase the wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ employees, along with everyone else.

This playlist is curated for global audiences and highlights a diversity of courses and Content Partners from multiple countries. It is meant to serve as an initial introduction to a variety of learning experiences on this topic, not as a prescribed curriculum.

This playlist is part of the “12 Months of Learning” 2023 campaign. Level = Beginner / All.
