The GO1 team are please to announce the release of the following capability in May 2018, including our new Zapier integration, updates to learner video uploads, course due dates, and content provider dashboards.

Zapier Integration
GO1 has an exciting integration with Zapier being released this month. Zapier is a SaaS application through which users can connect other applications and automate workflows.  This integration has been released to address our customers' requests for control over automation of different actions, for example sending emails or enrolling new users into courses.

For this integration to work, it will require the portal Admin to register for a Zapier account if they don't already have one. Within the GO1 portal, admins will be able to navigate to the Integrations area within their portal, this will show all the applications with which they can integrate, one of which will be Zapier. By selecting Zapier, you will see an Overview tab and a Zaps tab - within the Zaps, the portal admin can select to "Use this Zap" from the available default list. To commence an integration, the Zapier site will launch and the admin will log into their account.

Functionality to note: you will be able to Enable/disable the function for the Zapier integration by switching it on/off within the Integration page (it is enabled by default) . The first time you use of this integration, you will need to generate an API key, within theSettings page > Zaps Integration. This API key will be used to connect your portal when using the GO1 application in zapier.com.

The zap's available will enable to complete a number of actions within the portal, including:


Update the status of an existing enrollment

Also you will be able to use GO1 and Zapier together to complete an action on several of the most common external applications our customers are using, based on a trigger completed within your portal, these include:

Google Sheets, MailChimp, Sendgrid and WebMerge

A key feature requested by customers is the ability to alter the default course completion certificate. Your GO1 portal now can be integrated with Webmerge via Zapier for the purposes of generating certificates with a custom format and content.

If using the custom certificate Zap template, select Course or Module completion as the condition for this trigger within your portal. You will see an action to Link Zapier with your WebMerge account (you will need to use an API key). The first action is to select you account and the document  and specify the values to input into fields on the document. Then all you have to do is attach the chosen certificate to the relevant enrolment record from step 1 and select your portal. This custom certificate will now also be accessible by Learners under the completion history > for the relevant course.

Minor Improvements


As part of our ongoing improvements, we have added the ability for Learners to now upload a video response to an assignment.


 


In response to customer feedback, Course Due Date improvements have been made.

Due dates are now visible once the conditions of the completion rule have been met, meaning that:

Learning Item and Module due dates that are based on course enrolment are visible as soon as the user has enrolled in the course, even if they haven’t yet commenced that module or learning item

Learning Item due dates that are based on Parent (module) enrolment are visible as soon as the user has commenced that module, even if they haven’t yet started that specific learning item

Now both the days ahead/behind value and the due date display, providing greater clarity to learners on their upcoming and overdue dates.

Modules now only display due dates if that specific module has an exact due date or completion rule attached to it, whereas previously modules would display the course due date if none was defined on the module.

The Days ahead/behind value no longer shows once a learning item is passed as the information is only relevant to learners

The Content Provider Dashboard has been added as a new field within Portal Settings > Configuration. This display is disabled by default, so for you to see Content Provider Dashboard in the overview page and payments tab, you must enable that setting.

Within the new Payments report tab, the name of the Learning Resource or Course that has been purchased has been s added as an optional column for the report with the label "Title". The column will appear when the user selects Title under the Configure button.  The Learning Resource/Course name goes by the label "Title" in line with the logic used on the Enrolments report, as "Name" could be confused with the purchaser's name.

And to wrap up the month, if you haven't seen it yet, we have updated GO1's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Since this release in late May, all users of GO1, will see a one-time notification in their portal, which they will need to accept to be able to continue using their portal.

Resolved an error that stopped users from enrolling in specific courses.

An issue was resolved that caused locations to not be shown in reports.

An issue with users not being able to change their primary email address was resolved.

Fixed an issue with external share links not leading to the correct pay and enrol page.

Resolved an issue that stopped select awards from loading.

An issue was resolved that stopped the opening of a handful of learning items.

Resolved an issue where videos played audio only, no visuals.

Fixed an issue where an Award would be manually updated to a completed status, but would not show the completed status to the user.

Happy New Year! We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off your 2018 than by releasing a stack of cool new updates and tools to help you make this year your best learning year ever!

We have new tools for content creators to gain insights as to how learners are using their content, updates on adding suggested completion dates, a new teaching overview page to let you quickly know how your learners are progressing, updates to both our Awards and Reporting tools, and the ability to change the language of your portal.

You can now specify a date or completion rule on a learning item within a course. When editing a course, click the ellipsis icon (…) for that learning item, then click Settings. You will be able to choose between the scheduled due date being based on commencement of that learning item, or commencement of the parent of that learning item

Note: Due to this addition, we’ve also updated the way in which you access the learning item. When you click on the ellipsis icon for the learning item within the course, you can click View Overview to access the overview of that learning item and Edit to access the edit screen directly.

We have created a new overview dashboard for assessors and content authors which displays a summary of the enrolments and content managed by that user. Users can click through to see the report used to tally each statistic.

You can now see at a glance how your users are tracking against the due dates scheduled for their learning via our new learner enrollments tab. Learner enrollments displays a summary of the enrollments for which you are responsible, along with the due date for that enrollment and a count of the number of days the learner is ahead or behind, in relation to that due date.

Our portal interface now supports English (Australian). You can change the portal language within portal settings and the preference for your account within your user account settings. This primarily impacts the spelling of “Enrolment” throughout the portal.

It’s easier than ever to delegate responsibilities and have your team update training content on your portal. A new content administrator role has been created which allows users with this role to perform all content management actions, without having access to the full rights of a portal administrator.

To make it easier for you to add images to your portal, we have added options that will automatically scale your image to be the correct size so that you don’t need to adjust the image yourself.

Content Providers can view a usage dashboard

To allow our content providers to have a better understanding of how users are interacting with their content, we are introducing a new dashboard where users can take a more in depth look into their users, courses, analytics, payments and more.

We now support standalone learning items and awards within awards (up to 4 levels). Simply search for a learning item or award when you click to “Add content” to an award.

We now support assigning credits on learning items within a course. When editing an award, hover over the course card and click on the ellipsis icon, visible from the top right of the card. Click on Configuration, it will open a modal popup. You can select the Child level toggle to allocate credits to the learning items within that course.

The reports tab now shows the child enrolments for that award enrolment, available via an expand/collapse icon to the left of the learner’s name

You can now enrol learners and import enrolments into an award via the reports tab on an award. Click Enrol Users to open a modal popup, containing a list of Learners who are not currently enrolled in that Award.

When you edit an award with the goal Reach a Target or Track Ongoing Learning, you will now have the option to enable external learning records for that award:

If that option is disabled, users cannot add external learning records to their enrolment in the award

If that option is enabled, users can add external learning records to their enrolment in the award via the my progress and learner records tabs

If external learning records are enabled on an award, you can now also enable moderation of those external learning records. Click the Moderation toggle to enable this setting on an award.

 	If moderation is enabled, external learning records can be added to a learner’s enrolment in the award, but the credits associated with that external learning record don’t count towards the award enrolment until the external learning record has been passed by an administrator.
 	External learning records can be passed by clicking on the ellipsis icon (…) to the right of the external learning record within the reports tab of an award, and on the learner’s learning records tab, when viewing that tab as an admin, then by selecting Edit. A modal popup will open, asking you if the user passed this enrolment. Enable the toggle and apply the change to pass the learning record.

 	If an admin adds an external learning record on behalf of a user, it is automatically passed.
 	If moderation is disabled, any external learning records attached to an award enrolment will automatically count towards the award enrolment credits.




There is a default filter on the Users report to exclude inactive (blocked) users. This filter can be changed or removed through the report filters

You can now filter the Enrolments report by User Status, meaning that you can filter out enrolments from users who are inactive (blocked) from your portal.

Kickstart 2018 With These Updates to the GO1 Platform

The GO1 team are please to announce the release of the following capability in July 2018, including SCORM improvements, our Xero Integration, updates to our content management tools, and other minor improvements.

Interactive Resource Display Improvements
As part of GO1's continuing effort to improve our customer's experience on the platform, we have made significant changes to how you view and consume your training content through the GO1 platform.

Learners will notice an improved display when accessing interactive learning resources:

As a learner, you can browse for interactive learning resources through the Explore section of your portal. When you click to view a resource, if it has a price, you will be taken to the Overview page for that item so that you can purchase it. If that resource is available to you directly, either because it is free or it is available as part of your subscription, you will access a full screen display for that interactive resource (without having to click to Launch).

You can close the full screen display at any time and this will return you to the previous page you were on. By selecting the learning resource again, to be returned to your previous spot within the interactive resource.

Likewise for interactive learning resources within a course, when you click to open that resource, it will immediately open in the new full screen display.

When you complete an interactive learning resource within a course, at the end of the file you will see an option to continue to the next resource within that course and selecting this option will take you directly to that next resource.

If you select to close an interactive learning resource within a course, you will be redirected to the My Progress tab for your enrolment in that course.

The above improvements will also be visible to learners accessing standalone interactive learning resource or a course containing interactive learning resources from an external learning management system (LMS).

Administrators now have the ability to publish a standalone learning resource as a SCORM file, allowing for it to then be uploaded to an external LMS. This option is available on any standalone learning resource that has been created on your portal, or to which your portal is subscribed (such as items within GO1 Premium). Please note: To publish a learning resource to SCORM you will need to enable the SCORM Integration which is available through the Integrations area of your portal.

Content authors will also notice some usability improvements when adding/editing interactive learning resources:

When you select to add or edit an interactive learning resource, whether it be a standalone item or a learning resource within a course, you will see the display through which you can control the title, description, file and promotional image associated with that interactive learning resource.

 	You now have the option to remove the existing file, instead of having to first select to upload a new file.
 	The options formerly required for you to specify the display format for your interactive resource will no longer be visible, as all interactive learning resources will automatically display within our new full screen interface.


Once you have saved your interactive learning resource, as the author you will have the option to access the Overview for that resource. This will allow for you to review the details associated with your resource, and to select to launch the full screen display to preview your interactive resource file.

You will also be able to view results tab for each learning item, and see a list of enrolments.

 	 Can be found within edit course .... button for the SCORM file you can View Overview , and you will see a results tab. You can also see a Launch button which will take you to a full screen display.


On the.... button for a standalone interactive learning item you can select Settings or as shown within a course, settings>publish/sharing . This takes you to the settings page of the file, and at the bottom of the page is the "Publish as SCORM" option.

Xero
In exciting news, GO1 has been working on an integration with Xero Business and Accounting Software for the purposes of importing your employees from Xero as learners in your GO1 portal.

Super administrators have the ability to enable this integration via the Integrations area on your portal. Once enabled and integrated with your Organisation from Xero, you will have the ability to import employees from the payroll section of your Xero organisation as learners within your portal.

Please note, this functionality is only available to Australian and US Xero organisations at this stage.

 	We are also offering a special promotion to current Xero customers who do not yet have a GO1 portal. Xero customers will have the ability to sign up for a free GO1 Portal and access a selection of 5 courses from our Premium offering, for FREE. Content Management Changes
In response to you feedback, GO1 is introducing 3 new features that will help support portal admins management of their content available on the portal.

Within the settings area of your portal, sits a new tab; Portal content selection. 

Selection: The first GO1 content management tools visible in the settings is the portal selection feature. The premise of this feature is it allows for administrators to control the marketplace, subscribed and shared content that is visible on their portal.

It works by allowing both super administrators and administrators the option to select the content that will be visible to the users via the Explore area of your portal.

Admins will see the option to select all or one of the following;

 	Free Content (GO1 marketplace which is available for direct enrolment for free)
 	Subscribed Content (GO1 Premium available, per your subscription)
 	Pay per use content (GO1 marketplace content which has a cost or requires learners to submit an enquiry)



However, for some customers we understand that you may not want to make all of the content in the above content categories visible on Explore.

You must deselect at least one of the three content categories (Free, Subscribed, Pay for Use) for the Custom Selection feature to become available for enablement - the above are all enabled by default.

If you choose the button Custom Selection, you will be to see all the content available to include on this portal, where you can filter or use keyword search add the selection to the portal content group. Bulk actions to add all content within the results to your custom selection, or to remove the items currently selected, are also available.

For current customers who have the GO1 Marketplace option currently disabled within the Configuration page within Portal Settings, when this feature is released, the Free and Pay for Use options will be disabled by default.

This feature is currently available for testing through our Early Access Program, as of 11/7/2018. If you would like to use this feature in EAP please email product@go1.com

Content Sharing also allows content authorities to share content across GO1 portals, without the need to publish that content to the full GO1 Marketplace.

When a Super administrator, Administrator or Author is creating a course or standalone learning resource, they will be able to access a sharing modal popup, giving them the ability to control the sharing permissions for that content.

The portal content selection as mentioned above also includes a Shared with portal section, this will allow for super administrators and administrators to select which content that has been shared to their portal through the Content Sharing feature should then be available through the Explore section of that portal.

Minor Improvements 
As part of our ongoing minor improvements, we now have the feature that gives the admin the choice that either;


Users must use the updated version of a quiz

Users must use the current version of a quiz

 	When an author selects the Edit Quiz button, they will see a message that there are Pending quiz attempts on this quiz, which means there are learners who have not passed the current version of this quiz.
 	Admin will then choose which version of this quiz learners will complete

 	Can Select: Updated version (this will remove all Learners answers from current attempts and the learner will need to restart the quiz)

 	If admin selects this option they can then Continue editing quiz.


 	Can Select: Current version ( Learners will continue to see their current version until they have completed and passed the quiz) 





If you are an an super administrator, administrator or manager on a GO1 portal, you can now add  Enrollment ID as a value within the Enrollments report

 	Select Enrollments within the Administration area of your portal
 	Select Filter to control the filters applied to this report and add the field Enrollment ID = generic or specific id
 	Select Configure to control the values that are visible within this report, select Enrollment ID to see the unique values associated with the enrollments within GO1 displayed in the report.
