Being able to improve the social aspect of learning is important for keeping your learners engaged and on the path for continuous sustained learning.

We have recently been adding new functionality to improve this in the GO1 Platform, and with our mid-October release we are excited to announce more updates to our Notes tools that will allow you and your learners to take the next step in building an engaging social learning experience.

To improve the way in which you use the Discussion tab in your GO1 Portal we have added a new editor toolbar to enhance formatting when adding notes. This allows for text to be bold, italic, strikethrough, quoted, and to include hyperlinks on text.

A comment or a reply to a comment can now be deleted by an admin or group creator. This is a great function to prevent one comment to hijack an entire thread and have it deleted. Admins can simply click to delete a particular reply or comment allowing discussions to continue on regardless of an inappropriate comment/reply in the thread.

“All” group added to share notes with all users in your portal

A new default group has been added to portals called “All”. When new notes are added to this group, all users will be able to see the notes.

Improve Your Social Learning With the GO1 Mid-October Update

Over the past few months the GO1 team has been improving on the functionality of our Awards tools that allow you to create custom training programs for your team combining your own training with off the shelf content. In our November update we have made assigning Awards to users in bulk easier by leveraging our groups tools.

Admins can assign award to group or learner

It’s now quick and easy to assign an award to a group by clicking the Assign Learning button on the Award. This can the be viewed by the learner in the Learning tab, and My Learning assigned page.

Find out what’s new in the GO1 November update

Making it as simple as possible to gain access to the learning content that you need is critical in any training program. As a part of our mid-September update we have made several improvements to streamline this process, and allow your users to get the content that they want quickly and easily.

From purchasing and assigning content, to managing groups and enrollment reports, and assigning due dates. Plus we’ve got a stack of new tools that will help you to save time and streamline the way that you deliver learning material.

Simplified Course Purchase and Assigning Process

Being able to purchase and assign content to your users has now been simplified. You can now enter your credit card details to purchase credits which can be assigned to users to be redeemed for courses, or users can request that their manager purchase a course for them.

In this update we have improvements to the Administrator dashboard to include a new tab for Group. Under this section you can quickly see and manage all of the groups in your portal, including editing details, adding and deleting groups, and filtering options for those with large numbers of groups in their portal.

“Parent” and "Assessor" fields available on enrollment reports

When reporting on on enrollment courses, you can now see the Parent and Assessor fields. This allows Administrator to view learning items within a report along with the Parent course, or course in which the learning items is located to provide a more in depth reporting ability on content.

Improve the way you access learning content with our Mid-September Update

What better way to kick off July than with some updates to the GO1 Platform. As we pass by the mid point of the year, we have made more updates to improve your learning experience and to ensure that you are getting the most out of the GO1 System. In this update you will find improvements to several Administrator functions, including assigning courses,  managing you learning items, as well and being able bulk delete items and much more.

Want to assign a particular team or department certain courses? Now you can. Within the ‘Discussion’ in the menu bar you can select a group on the right hand side and then click on the ‘Learning’ header on the left hand side of the screen. From here you can add courses that will be included as assigned learning for all members of that group.

Courses can be arranged in user specified order for Awards

We recently introduced you to the Awards feature within the GO1 Platform. We have made an update that allows you to control how the courses in awards are displayed by enabling Administrators to define the display order of all courses within an Award. This means you can position the courses you would prefer your learners enroll into as the top courses.

What You Need to Know About the GO1 July Update

Improving communication with learners, simplifying course booking, and being able to save and schedule learning headline our updates to the GO1 Platform as we start October. We also have several other improvements that will help to improve the way that you use GO1 as both an administrator and as a learner.

Configure your email communication with learners

Everyone likes to trigger notifications with their learners in different ways, so we have added some new configuration tools where you can set up when you would like your users to be notified based on actions.

To make it easier for your users to book a course, we have update the interface for collecting payments and securing a booking. A user can now book one or more seats and easily make payments via this updated form.

Both learners and their administrators can now schedule learning. This means you can save learning content for completion on a set date, or without a date, then when you visit the Scheduled tab under the My Learning section in your portal, you will see all of your saved content.

Administrators/Assessors can view all details of course enrollment

To provide administrators and assessors with more in depth look at how their users are progressing through courses, we have added some new tools that display progress of elements within each course.

- Admins can now set a due date for enrollments
- Improved user experience for small device users
- Content authors can now specific set a "Suggested completion" timeframe for learning items
- Users can view enrolled courses from marketplace in My learning page
- Admins can edit and delete their saved reports
- Improvements to Discussion features

The eLearning Assist: Episode 5 Catchup - Learn About New GO1 Features

As we approach the end of 2017 we have one final round of updates to the GO1 Platform that will set you up for a great start to the new year! With this update you will be able to take a deeper look at how users are interacting with individual learning items within Premium content as well as Awards, view learner transcripts, review groups prior to joining and more.

Administrators can view a Learner’s Award progress

To provide greater clarity around current and needed training, Administrators can now view the Learning Records tab for a Learner’s enrolment in an Award. By clicking on the "View Details" button from a Learner’s Award enrolment, available through the Reports tab on an Award, the Administrator can view the courses and external learning items that learner has accrued against that Award.

Understanding which Premium content learning items are best for your learners can be tough, so we’ve now added a “Results” tab on all learning items so that administrators take a closer look at how their learners are interacting with specific learning item. Simply to the the learning item, and click the results tab to view the report.

Have multiple authors on a single learning item

To improve the learning content creation process, you can now have multiple authors not only on a course, but on individual learning items themselves.

Courses with scheduled dates now appear on course card

To make it quicker and easier to find the right scheduled course that you are looking for, all scheduled courses now have the dates, and number of seats available displayed on the course card.

To make it easier to track Awards without having to look at individual courses, we have added a Reports tab to all awards page. Here you can utilise all of the GO1 reporting tools, as applied to your users completing Awards.

Just like with courses, you should be able to view a group before deciding to commit to it. With this update you can view the current public comments without joining to decide if the group is the right fit for your needs.

Try Our New Reporting Tools With The GO1 December Update

The GO1 team are please to announce the release of the following capability in April 2018, including the My Team Dashboard, Improvements to Notifications and Alerts, and Improvements to Search and Tag Filtering.

Managers will now have access to a dashboard called "My Team". This dashboard summarises the activity of a manger learners so to enable better tracking of learner activity against their goals.

The ability for a Manager to view, search and sort through a list of the Users they manage.

The ability for a Manager to view a tally of their users progress against the goals associated with that learner, including whether a users enrolment status for a standalone LO/LI is; in Progress, Upcoming (which means the completion due date is within the next 7 days) or overdue.

The ability for a Manager to click to see a report of the data used to calculate their User's progress.

Importantly for the My Team dashboard to work, you must ensure you assign yourself as a manager for your learners (Refer to the last video).

Based on your feedback, the platform has been improved to better alert users about key learning milestones. This feature includes in-app portal notifications and email notifications to act as reminders of scheduled due dates, events and expiry dates.

The features of the addition of notifications are:

Enable/disable in-app and email notifications for Learners, Managers & Assessors.

Dependent on the portal administrators selection, it will mean:

Learners may receive an in-app & email notification:

When they are scheduled a standalone learning-item

When a due date is scheduled for them and/or that date is edited

When an external learning record created by a learner is edited and/or passed by someone else

Learners, Managers and Assessors may receive an in-app & email notification:

Prior to, on the day of, and 2 days following the expiry of a scheduled due date if the enrolment is NOT completed.

3 days prior to and on the start date of an event in which they are enrolled or are the assessor, with the details of that event

When 75% of the duration of the award enrolment period has passed and when the enrolment expiry date has passed

 Improvements to Search and Tag Filtering

Changes to the tag and filtering functions will now allow for learners to more easily search, filter and sort through available content to find what is most relevant to them.

The features of the search and filters changers for learners are:

The ability to see the content in explore sorted by the latest published date

The ability to search for content and then sort the results by the option Ranking/Most relevant.
before you see the and Premium tags.

When filtering search results for scheduled content, as a learner you can filter based location or date.

Learners previous enrolments will be visible, allowing their competition history to accurately reflect the work they have completed.

Awards can now have tags showing items mandatory for completion

Improved card display for courses with multiple events
 
  

 Update to the dates associated with event enrolments so that they align with the start and end date for the associated event.


Fixed an issue where continue button on course overview did not work.

Resolved issue where assessor feedback did not show on occasion

An issue was fixed that stopped users from saving updates to learning items.

Fixed an issue that applied a discount to only 1 course when trying to apply to many.

Fixed issues where assignment resubmissions didn’t appear for assessors.

Resolved an issue where completed Awards did not appear as complete.

Resolved an issue where seats decreased across multiple events when assigning a seat for a single event.

Resolved some intermittent course completion issues.

An issue was resolved where an Iframe in a text resource would not save.

Interactive Resource Display Improvements
As part of GO1's continuing effort to improve our customer's experience on the platform, we have made significant changes to how you view and consume your training content through the GO1 platform.

Learners will notice an improved display when accessing interactive learning resources:

As a learner, you can browse for interactive learning resources through the Explore section of your portal. When you click to view a resource, if it has a price, you will be taken to the Overview page for that item so that you can purchase it. If that resource is available to you directly, either because it is free or it is available as part of your subscription, you will access a full screen display for that interactive resource (without having to click to Launch).

You can close the full screen display at any time and this will return you to the previous page you were on. By selecting the learning resource again, to be returned to your previous spot within the interactive resource.

Likewise for interactive learning resources within a course, when you click to open that resource, it will immediately open in the new full screen display.

When you complete an interactive learning resource within a course, at the end of the file you will see an option to continue to the next resource within that course and selecting this option will take you directly to that next resource.

If you select to close an interactive learning resource within a course, you will be redirected to the My Progress tab for your enrolment in that course.

The above improvements will also be visible to learners accessing standalone interactive learning resource or a course containing interactive learning resources from an external learning management system (LMS).

Administrators now have the ability to publish a standalone learning resource as a SCORM file, allowing for it to then be uploaded to an external LMS. This option is available on any standalone learning resource that has been created on your portal, or to which your portal is subscribed (such as items within GO1 Premium). Please note: To publish a learning resource to SCORM you will need to enable the SCORM Integration which is available through the Integrations area of your portal.

Content authors will also notice some usability improvements when adding/editing interactive learning resources:

When you select to add or edit an interactive learning resource, whether it be a standalone item or a learning resource within a course, you will see the display through which you can control the title, description, file and promotional image associated with that interactive learning resource.

 	You now have the option to remove the existing file, instead of having to first select to upload a new file.
 	The options formerly required for you to specify the display format for your interactive resource will no longer be visible, as all interactive learning resources will automatically display within our new full screen interface.


Once you have saved your interactive learning resource, as the author you will have the option to access the Overview for that resource. This will allow for you to review the details associated with your resource, and to select to launch the full screen display to preview your interactive resource file.

You will also be able to view results tab for each learning item, and see a list of enrolments.

 	 Can be found within edit course .... button for the SCORM file you can View Overview , and you will see a results tab. You can also see a Launch button which will take you to a full screen display.


On the.... button for a standalone interactive learning item you can select Settings or as shown within a course, settings>publish/sharing . This takes you to the settings page of the file, and at the bottom of the page is the "Publish as SCORM" option.

Xero
In exciting news, GO1 has been working on an integration with Xero Business and Accounting Software for the purposes of importing your employees from Xero as learners in your GO1 portal.

Super administrators have the ability to enable this integration via the Integrations area on your portal. Once enabled and integrated with your Organisation from Xero, you will have the ability to import employees from the payroll section of your Xero organisation as learners within your portal.

Please note, this functionality is only available to Australian and US Xero organisations at this stage.

 	We are also offering a special promotion to current Xero customers who do not yet have a GO1 portal. Xero customers will have the ability to sign up for a free GO1 Portal and access a selection of 5 courses from our Premium offering, for FREE. Content Management Changes
In response to you feedback, GO1 is introducing 3 new features that will help support portal admins management of their content available on the portal.

Within the settings area of your portal, sits a new tab; Portal content selection. 

Selection: The first GO1 content management tools visible in the settings is the portal selection feature. The premise of this feature is it allows for administrators to control the marketplace, subscribed and shared content that is visible on their portal.

It works by allowing both super administrators and administrators the option to select the content that will be visible to the users via the Explore area of your portal.

Admins will see the option to select all or one of the following;

 	Free Content (GO1 marketplace which is available for direct enrolment for free)
 	Subscribed Content (GO1 Premium available, per your subscription)
 	Pay per use content (GO1 marketplace content which has a cost or requires learners to submit an enquiry)



However, for some customers we understand that you may not want to make all of the content in the above content categories visible on Explore.

You must deselect at least one of the three content categories (Free, Subscribed, Pay for Use) for the Custom Selection feature to become available for enablement - the above are all enabled by default.

If you choose the button Custom Selection, you will be to see all the content available to include on this portal, where you can filter or use keyword search add the selection to the portal content group. Bulk actions to add all content within the results to your custom selection, or to remove the items currently selected, are also available.

For current customers who have the GO1 Marketplace option currently disabled within the Configuration page within Portal Settings, when this feature is released, the Free and Pay for Use options will be disabled by default.

This feature is currently available for testing through our Early Access Program, as of 11/7/2018. If you would like to use this feature in EAP please email product@go1.com

Content Sharing also allows content authorities to share content across GO1 portals, without the need to publish that content to the full GO1 Marketplace.

When a Super administrator, Administrator or Author is creating a course or standalone learning resource, they will be able to access a sharing modal popup, giving them the ability to control the sharing permissions for that content.

The portal content selection as mentioned above also includes a Shared with portal section, this will allow for super administrators and administrators to select which content that has been shared to their portal through the Content Sharing feature should then be available through the Explore section of that portal.

Minor Improvements 
As part of our ongoing minor improvements, we now have the feature that gives the admin the choice that either;


Users must use the updated version of a quiz

Users must use the current version of a quiz

 	When an author selects the Edit Quiz button, they will see a message that there are Pending quiz attempts on this quiz, which means there are learners who have not passed the current version of this quiz.
 	Admin will then choose which version of this quiz learners will complete

 	Can Select: Updated version (this will remove all Learners answers from current attempts and the learner will need to restart the quiz)

 	If admin selects this option they can then Continue editing quiz.


 	Can Select: Current version ( Learners will continue to see their current version until they have completed and passed the quiz) 





If you are an an super administrator, administrator or manager on a GO1 portal, you can now add  Enrollment ID as a value within the Enrollments report

 	Select Enrollments within the Administration area of your portal
 	Select Filter to control the filters applied to this report and add the field Enrollment ID = generic or specific id
 	Select Configure to control the values that are visible within this report, select Enrollment ID to see the unique values associated with the enrollments within GO1 displayed in the report.
