One of the most frustrating aspects of implementing a new training program at any organization is having to chase up your manager to get approval for both budget and structure. Not anymore! Our latest update takes the pain out of talking to your boss.

“Hassle Your Boss” is a new feature in which a button in the administrator dashboard can be linked to directly contact your boss via email and text message, prompting them to approve your training plan.

Unfortunately, we aren’t going to be implementing this feature - which I’m sure is a relief to training executives everywhere.

However, we do firmly believe that training managers should be taking their budgets into their own hands and communicating with their managers.

We are here to help you take charge so that you can create an engaging and budget friendly program. You can find a number of article on the Go1 website to guide you through this processes including everything from how to prepare your learning and development budget, through to the top things you need to consider when taking your learning online.

Not to forget about talking to your boss, we can help with that too. As online learning becomes the most popular way to deliver workplace training, some employees might find that their managers need a bit of a “push” to test things out. Convincing your boss to invest in eLearning is a simple process if you do your homework and cover a few key areas, and we’ve put together a guide to make it a quick and easy process for L&D managers.

“Hassle your boss” with our latest feature!

The new year is here, and we have some great new platform updates to the Go1 system to make sure you start the year off learning in the best way possible. Over the next month we have some very exciting new features to unveil for you, but in the meantime here are some improvements to our system which will help you to personalize the way your portal looks, and communicates with your users.

It’s now quick and easy to update the welcome message that your users see when they log into their portal using our text editing tools. You can include HTML functionality and give your students the information they need to navigate their portal.

Portal administrators a number of images located throughout their portal via the Portal Settings section in their user menu. This includes being update to update login screen images, the login page background image, and the featured image within the portal.

Images file types that can be uploaded include JPG, GIF and PNG with all images must be less than 5MB in size.

This update allows administrators to personalize emails that are sent out to their users based on using tags referencing stored profile information. This includes adding the user first and/or last name and their email address. As well as being able to add portal URLs and verification links for any user.

Check out our January Go1 platform updates to kick off 2017

The end of the year is approaching fast, and we are continuing to roll out even more updates to the Go1 system with our December release. This release that will be deployed on December 11 includes one of our biggest updates in recent months; the inclusion of a new interactive resource type. In addition to the interactive recourses, you’ll also find updates to the course card notifications, Groups access settings, and more!

Course creators can new insert interactive files into their courses using the backend course creation tools. The Scorm engine is compilable with file types: Scorm, Tincan, AICC.

To use interactive resources, simply click on ‘Add Resource’ as you have done in the past and a new option for ‘Interactive’ will now be displayed.

Keeping track of which courses you have already complete while searching the markertplace has now become even easier.  This new update will now notify users if they are trying to enroll into a course that is already in their portal via notification.

Do not allow blocked user enroll to view Project Groups

In order to improve user management and protect your content, if you have blocked users in your system, the blocking functionality now extends to blocking that user from all Project Groups too.

Over the coming weeks and months we have a lot of very exciting updates to share with you, and there are a few in particular that we think you'll especially enjoy.  In our November release you’ll find updates to the navigation in the administrator interface, allowing managers to enroll students in free courses, and more!

Enroll Students into Free Courses From Course Cards 

Now that there are more and more free courses available on the Go1 Course Marketplace, we want to make it easier for all of our users to be able to access this content, and share it with their teams. This update allows managers to enroll their team members into free courses listed on the Go1 Course Marketplace by simply visiting the course home page and clicking "Enroll another User", entering the email address of the team member, and clicking the "Ok" button. This makes is easier than ever to share great free content with your team with the click of a button.

Navigation Updated for Administrator Interface 

To make it easier for you to manage your learners, we have refined the information displayed in the 'Administer' section of your portal to ensure you can access the information and features that you need as quick and easily as possible. This includes having less categories listed in the menus, but by providing more relevant information under each menu item.

Only existing portals can be found entering domain names

We recently deployed our October release, and to make sure you get the best learning experience possible, we've now made even more improvements to the system to round out the month. In our end of October update you'll find updates to displaying terms of service, new company course searching features, additional portal theme colours and more!

It’s easier for you to find the course you are looking for in your company courses. New course filtering toggles were recently added to the course marketplace allowing users to find courses easier, and now this toggle has been applied to your company courses tab. Using these tools you can now search for company courses using a search bar, as well as being able choose which courses that you’d like to display based on their status; In Progress, Completed, or All Courses, as well as by popularity.

Portal Primary and Secondary Colour List Updated

To make sure you can theme your portal to match your company branding, we have now updated our colour list in the portal settings to include all of the colours that we are currently able to support.

Using Autopilot to track your users activities is now easier than ever. Under the 'Integrations' tab in your settings menu under your name, you can now select the 'Integrations' option to view your Add-Ons. Autopilot is now a featured add on, and to activate, all you need to do is click the on/off toggle.

We have now enabled users to have multiple email addresses associated with their Go1 account, and with the ability to set a primary email address to be used for correspondence.

When you open up your Go1 learning portal, you will now see the portal name listed as the name of the page in the browser tab, as well as in your portal.

Displaying Terms of Service on initial login

It's October, and that means it's time for the latest release of the Go1 system, including a stack of exciting updates to improve your learning experience. In this update you will find a range of improvements to your portal display settings, courses enrollment settings, new options for adding multiple email addresses, and more!

It's inevitable that sometimes we forget our passwords. That is not a problem with Go1 though because we have refined our password recovery process to ensure that you, or your users, can quickly and easily reset your password and get back to learning in a matter of minutes, with no downtime.

Manually Passed Courses Automatically Pass Course Modules

If a user has been manually passed for a course, all modules within that course will automatically be passed to ensure that the user will be accredited accordingly.

A new setting has been created in your 'Portal Settings' which allows administrators to set up a landing page that all users will be directed to once logging out of their portal.

Being able to switch between the portals on mobile devices

Top header display on mobile devices has been improved

A favicon has been added for the webapp on iOS

Generate a course URL from 'Embeded courses' page for Scheduled events

September is here and the team at Go1 are excited to release the latest version of our system, packed with updates and improvements to the Go1 Platform. In this update we have allowed students to un enroll themselves from courses, administrators set up their custom embed codes from their dashboard, we've added more integrations, and more!

Administrators no longer have to spend time un-enrolling users from courses that are no longer relevant to them, as all users now have the ability to leave a course with the click of a button.

Administrators can now approve users for courses

Rather than having users simply clicking on enroll to start taking a course, administrators can now set the action button on a course page to 'Enquire'. This allows the administrator to view all applicants and approve or deny access as required.

Customise embed settings for your administrator dashboard

Embedding your Go1 courses in your website has never been easier. This version has moved all of your embed settings to the Portal Settings are of your dashboard, where you can simply select your display settings and generate a code.

Integrations with Intercom & Autopilot have been added

Long domain names are now accepted in the onboarding wizard

Notifications on required fields within the student profile have been improved

Text display on mobile devices has been improved

New error notification will show if a user invite fails for any reason

The end of August is nearing and we have just released the second installment of our updates and improvements to the Go1 Platform for the month. In this update we have more filtering options to reports in the new Administrator Dashboard, updated notification settings for when you leave a portal, added new tools to sort your courses by enrollment status, and have improved our password straight settings when signing up or updating information.

If you log into your portal and don't see all of your courses appearing, don't worry, they are still there, they have just been filtered to display your In Progress courses.

We are continuing to improve the way that you manages your enrollments through new filtering tools through the administrator dashboard.

When creating or updating passwords relating to Go1 accounts, users will now see a password strength meter in addition to all passwords requiring a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter and a number to be accepted.

If a user leaves, or is removed from a portal they will no longer see notifications for that portal. This ensures that all notifications displayed are relevant to the users current courses and learning material.

Profile fields correct order display has been updated and you can add descriptions to groups

The functionality around using audio in questions has been improved

Users are now required to confirm assignments with uploading their own work

Functionality for private courses to be displayed in JSEmbed websites has been updated

Feedback bar appearing Quiz has been updated

Loading issues around private LearningPathway have been resolved

What's new in the Go1 end of August release

The August release of Go1 is here, and we have some great improvements to making your learning experience even better! In this release you'll find some updates to the Administer dashboard so you can manage your learners easier, new features and updates to user profiles; including Gradebook, and a great new feature to allow you to create new portals with the click of a button.

This is the latest version of the Go1 admin dashboard, a faster more streamlined interface to manage Go1. We will be rolling out more functionality here in the coming weeks and months. The old admin interface can still be accessed from the link at the top of this page.

Improved profile updates with notifications

When an account profile has been updated, after clicking submit you will now be notified whether your information has been submitted or not. If you have not completed all of the required sections of your profile, you will be unable to submit your updated information.

Create a new portal from your 'My Portals' menu

You can now create a new portal directly from the dropdown menu in the top right hand corner of you screen by hovering over the 'My Portals' option and clicking 'Create New Portal' at the bottom of the list of your portals. A confirmation box will then appear to confirm this choice, and then your new portal will be created.

Another new feature that has been aded to the user profiles in this release is the 'Gradebook'. Within the Gradebook you can view all of the courses that you are enrolled in as well as their status, start and end dates, and you can expand courses to see further details on which assessments you have completed or are awaiting completion.

We love our android users and want them to have an amazing experience. We have updated our display settings for all android devices to improve display and create a better user experience.

Automatic time conversion for user’s timezone

After launching the Course Marketplace in June, the Go1 team have been working to add more and more courses to our library so that you can access the courses that you want, quicker and easier. We opened the marketplace with 25,000 courses covering a wide range of subjects from professional development, to compliance and soft skills.

As if that wasn't enough for you to learn, we have added a stack of new courses to the library once again and now have a total of over 100,000 courses for you to choose from!

The courses that we have in our marketplace aren't just any courses either. All of the content that we provide comes from some of the best learning content providers from across the world, and covers a huge range of topics and industries.
